Buyer: How do I create a new contract?

Three different paths can be taken to create a new contract:
1) Create a new contract from an RFP
2) Create a new contract from your Contract Dashboard
3) Create a new contract from the navigation bar

1) Create a new contract from an RFP
In order to create a new contract from an RFP, you must have sent an RFP and received a vendor proposal.  To proceed to contract from an RFP, first navigate to your RFP Dashboard, and then click on the RFP Name to see the full list of vendors included on the RFP.

Now you can click 'Compile' next to the individual vendor proposal that you would like to contract.
Note: Contracts cannot be created from the Compile All view.  You must access the individual Compile grid to proceed to contract.

After navigating to the Compile grid for an individual vendor proposal, you will notice the Proceed to Contract button on the bottom right-hand side of the Compile grid.
Note: For the Proceed to Contract button to appear, the status of the Compile grid must be Buyer Editable, and the proposal data cannot have any validation errors (listed in red at the bottom of the page).

You will then be taken to the Create Contract page.  For more information on creating a new contract, please click here.

2) Create a new contract from your Contract Dashboard
A new contract can also be created from your Contract Dashboard.  To do so, first navigate to your Contract Dashboard. Once you are on the dashboard, click on 'Create New Contract'.

You will then be taken to the Create Contract page.  From there, you will need to select one of the three options for what data you would like pulled into the contract.  For more information on these three options, click here.

3) Create a new contract from the navigation bar
In addition, a new contract can be created by hovering your mouse over 'Contract' in the white navigation bar across the top of any page in DOmedia and clicking 'Create New Contract'.

You will then be taken to the Create Contract page.  For more information on creating a new contract, please click here.
